SITCOM: She's Got His Number (hiding someone)

ELTON'S APARTMENT – EVENING

Elton opens the door to Madge who comes right in.

MADGE

Have you seen your brother?

ELTON

My – Hey, before I forget: that friend of yours is really cute!

MadGe

Yeah, she liked you too.

ELTON

No way. Can I get her number?

MADGE

I don't know why not. But first – where's your brother?

ELTON

My brother?

MADGE

That's what I said. Your brother.

ELTON

What do you need my brother for?

MADGE

What do you need to know for?

ELTON

I don't. I don't need to know.

MADGE

So, have you seen him?

ELTON

Why would you think I'd see him?

MADGE

Because he's your brother? Because you see him everyday?

ELTON

Oh. Ok, that makes sense.

MADGE

He told you I was mad at him, right?

ELTON

When would he have told me that?

MADGE

When you saw him.

ELTON

I didn't say I saw him.

MADGE

Right. Well, I am. I'm mad at him.

ELTON

That's not good.

MADGE

Oh, it could be worse.

ELTON

It could?

MADGE

I could be mad at you.

ELTON

That wouldn't be good.

MADGE

But it's not like you need anything from me.

ELTON

Actually, you were going to give me...

MADGE

My girl friend's number?

ELTON

She is so cute.

MADGE

Forget it. She's not your type.

ELTON

She is so my type.

MADGE

No, no, I don't want to waste your time.

ELTON

He's in the closet.

MADGE

Why thank you Elton. You are such a good friend.
